Text Analytics Evaluation

Given the variety of vendors and product designs, getting started in text analytics is difficult and we have developed an approach that ensures that you make the right decisions - and that you get a good start on actually developing your text analytics solutions.

Text Analytics Strategy Consulting

We have developed a process, a knowledge architecture audit, that produces a knowledge map of an organization or an application area that becomes a foundation that supports a broad range of applications. We can help to design your entire approach to text analytics from initial evaluation to design to development to applications.

Text Analytics Design

We offer design services for taxonomies, entity-fact catalogs, categorization structures, and ontologies. And we can also help you design the right approach for you to utilize all of these elements in creating a broad semantic infrastructure for multiple applications that build on that infrastructure, thereby saving enormous amounts of time and resources.

Faceted Taxonomies and Faceted navigation.

In addition to traditional taxonomies, we have had great success over the last two years developing new types of faceted taxonomies along with the use of traditional subject matter taxonomies with faceted metadata based navigation. We have created an approach to developing faceted taxonomies in part by facetizing traditional taxonomies as well as utilizing entity or noun phrase extraction to populate the facets. We have developed a number of integrated navigation applications for both eCommerce and enterprise environments that utilize this combination of taxonomies and faceted metadata.

Knowledge Architecture Audit

A knowledge architecture audit is a set of activities including interviews, ethnographic sessions, surveys, text analysis, and others types of research - that are designed to produce a deep understanding of an organization information and knowledge environment. The output of the audit is a deep characterization or knowledge map of the organization's content and content structure (metadata and taxonomies), the formal and informal communities and their associated information behaviors, the information activities associated with the organization's business processes, and a map of the various information technologies (search, content management and others) that are being utilized in the organization.

This knowledge map is a foundation and starting point for an integrated approach to any and all information and knowledge initiatives.
